I would like to rent a refrigerated container. What areas do you service?

Southern Refrigeration Engineers refrigerated and cold storage containers are available for delivery to most of the states. We can deliver your rented refrigerated container(s) to  Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Wisconsin. We are also able to assist in delivery to clients located in the states not mentioned above for long term renting options.

What size of containers do you have available for rent and purchase?

Southern Refrigeration Engineers refrigerated containers are 10’L x 8’W x 8’6”H, 20’L x 8’W x 8’6”H & 40’L x 8’W x 9’6”H.

Do you offer ground level and dock level units?

Yes, we have both available for your various needs. Our 10’, 20’ and 40’ units are all ground level units and can be placed and a dock level chassis for dock level storage.

What types of doors do your units have?

Our refrigerated and cold storage containers have lockable double doors on one end of each unit. Our 10’ refrigerated storage containers and 20′ refrigerated storage containers have “easy access” double doors on one end (although some are equipped with standard cargo doors on one end). Our 40′ refrigerated containers are built with heavy duty cargo doors on one end.

What temperature are your units capable of maintaining?

Our refrigerated containers and trailers capable of maintaining temperatures below 0˚F and up to 75˚F. They can go as low as -20˚F, depending on how much product is being stored and usage.

I noticed your refrigerated storage containers are electric. Which type of power is needed for optimal performance?

Refrigerated containers at Southern Refrigeration Engineers are dual capable. This means the storage units require either 230V or 460V 3-Phase power to operate efficiently. A dedicated 50 amp circuit is recommended when handling a 230V power source. A dedicated 25 amp circuit is recommended when handling a 460V power source.

Does Southern Refrigeration Engineers offer repair and/or maintenance service on your refrigerate storage containers?

Yes. At Southern Refrigeration Engineers we take pride and make it our mission to offer the best product to our customers. Rented containers come with our maintenance package as part of your monthly rate. We schedule maintenance on each refrigerated container twice annually. In addition to our maintenance package, we offer “as needed” repairs to our rental units. And you pay no additional costs if the repairs are due to normal wear and tear! We take care of our customers at SRE.

How much of an increase can I expect on my electric bill each month?

Several factors affect your electric bill, so every situation is different. The most crucial factors are: the temperature at which you set the refrigerated storage container, the temperature outside of the container, the quantity of product inside of the container, the traffic in and out of the container, the power supply in addition to the cost per kilowatt hour for your electricity. Based on our customers feedback, on average our customers have an increase of $100.00 to $300.00 to their electric bill on a monthly basis. The monthly electrical cost of SRE’s refrigerated storage containers are about half versus operating the popular diesel units.

Are your units difficult to operate?

No. At Southern Refrigeration Engineers we strive to offer the most efficient product to our customers. All of our refrigerated container units are equipped with digital controls effortless operation.
